01 - Protecting your home
We begin by protecting your floors with construction paper so that your floors are protected. We generally use paper instead of drop sheets because it gives superior protection by not sliding around, is easier for you to walk on, allows us to move furniture easier and allows us to vacuum at the end of the work day, also it is easier on the eyes than a house covered in dusty drop cloths. We then cover your furniture with plastic and mask anything else that can not be removed. We apply frog tape to baseboards and trim to achieve a perfect line and to protect trim from paint drips when painting walls.
02 - Surface Preparation
Preparation is the foundation of a beautiful and long lasting paint job, we really spend the time on prep to make sure our painting looks great every time. some homes need a ton of prep work some need hardly any. Our client can rest assured we will do all of the necessary prep to make your home look great even if it’s going to be a lot of work. We inspect all surfaces to be painted with a light, sand out all bumps and imperfections left from previous painters, fill all holes, screw pops, and recesses with a high quality patching compound. We sand all of the patches with dustless sanders attached to a HEPA vac. We caulk all gaps in trim with a high quality caulk before painting.
03 - Interior Painting
After the prep work is complete our painters will begin applying a high quality paint that is best suited to the substrate we are painting. We know which paints are best where and will provide guidance during the free onsite estimate. We always apply at least two coats of paint to ensure proper coverage and even paint sheen. We sand all surfaces in between coats with a pole sander on walls, and hand sand trim to achieve a smooth even finish. Once all of the painting is completed our team supervisor will inspect all work to ensure our quality standards have been achieved.
04 - Clean Up
During the painting process our painters will treat your home with respect. We maintain an organized work space, clean as we go, and do a clean up at the end of each day. Once all of the work is complete our painters will thoroughly clean up and carefully put everything back where it belongs.
05 - Follow Up
After the work is completed we will go over everything to make sure you are happy with the work. Mark the owner will follow up with you after completion to make sure we didn’t miss anything and that you are still happy with everything we painted for you.
